RAWALPINDI: The Punjab Educ
ation Department (PED) has given approval to appoint 80,000 new teach
ers for various educational institutions of the government.
The new teachers wou
ld be hired in Arts, Science, Computers and recruitment process would commence from the month of April, 2017.
It has been made compulsory that the new teachers should have at least MA, MSC and B.edu educ
ation qualification.
The female candidates wou
ld be given relax
ation in age while special quota has been allocated for minorities and disabled persons.
Orders have been issued to complete the recruitment of 43000 teachers before 31st March.
The new appointments of teachers wou
ld be made in
36 districts of Punjab, while the education
officers have also been directed in this regard.
The new teachers wou
ld be taking over the responsibilities when the new academic session of schools begin.
