SIALKOT: Collector Customs Ahmad Raza Khan’s special measures to curb currency and gold smuggling attempts from the Sialkot International Ai
rport have been lauded.
These measures include deployment of e
xtra staff at arrival and departure lounges, VIP lounges, luggage checking and scanning, body searches of suspected passengers and checks at the canteen.
Besides that, a counter has been established to guide the departing passengers and is also where currency declaration is done. Collector Ahmad Raza has also directed to enhance the Customs staff i
n order to keep vigilance of all incoming and outgo
ing routes of the airport.
