ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has dismissed a petition seeking disqualification of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan.

ing to sources, the ECP has dismissed the petition being not persuaded. The petition was filed by Hashim Bhutta who remained absent during the hearing.

The PTI party fund case came up for hearing before the ECP. Akbar Babar, counsel for the petitioner, said the ECP had sought record of the PTI funds but the orders were not being implemented.

ing to sources, the PTI’s counsel filed reply related to party funds and requested the court to grant him more time for arguments. The
CEC said the case was pending for the last two years. “This thing is going in whose favour. What game you are playing with us. The reply filed bears the signatures of your se
nior leader,” the
CEC said.
He also said, “You are sufficient to spread bias. We hav
e no concern with the politics. We curse politics. You think with these things you will play politics then we are giving you warning.” EC directed PTI counsel Faisal Chaudhry to file power of attorney in this case.
