rigging elections. He denied all allegations of
rigging and
said that MQM’s candidate from PS-114 was defeated as per an agenda through
rigging.
“Rauf Siddiqui was defeated through
rigging. We filed a complaint against the opponent and th
e decision came i
n favour of Irfanullah Marwat” he said.
He
said that his party accepted th
e decision nonetheless and the Supreme Court (SC) later gave a decision in Siddiqui’s favour.
“We don’t partake in
rigging, the foul practice is conducted against us” he said. “MQM is seen as weak hence accusations are levelled against us” he added.
Farooq
said that ‘vultures’ were preparing to snatch MQM-P’s vote bank. He
said that P
akistan People’s Party (PPP) was eyeing MQM’s seats greedily.
Claiming that MQM-P would secure a heavy mandate in the upcoming elections, he announced that on Sunday his party would hold a big rally in Hyderabad.
“We won’t be taking out a rally on Sunday. We will be taking out a ralla,” he said.
Referring to the Hyderabad massacre that took place more than three decades ago, he
said that a renewed investigation should be started against the incident.
“A judicial commission should be formed to probe the Hyderabad massacre” he said.
He praised Sindh Inspector General (IG) AD Khawaja and suggested that the investigation be conducted by him into the killings that took place in Hyderabad.
